1. War Eagle is our battle cry, not our mascot.
We are all tired of those people that always ask "Which is your mascot? The Eagle or the Tiger?" It's up to us to set the record straight. Aubie is Auburn's mascot. The Eagle is a pre-game tradition that began when Auburn first played Georgia in 1892. A professor that was a civil war veteran had a pet eagle that went everywhere with him. During the game, as Auburn ran for the winning score the eagle left the professors side and flew around the field. Every one began to cry "War Eagle!"
War Eagle is not just used during games. It is a greeting among Auburn fans and family around the globe.
2. Don't Step on the Seal.
The Auburn seal is located in front of Langdon Hall. All Auburn students were told that if you stepped on the seal before you graduated, you wouldn't graduate on time, or meet the love of your life at Auburn. The only way to reverse the curse is to skinny dip in the fountain in front of the President's Mansion. Students will avoid stepping on the seal at ALL costs, even if they have to run into someone to get around it. No one messes with the seal.
3. Miracles do happen.
The Miracle at Jordan Hare during the Georgia and Alabama games in the 2013 season will be remembered by all Auburn and Alabama fans until the end of time.
4.
Yes, we are tree huggers.
Toomer's Corner, home of our beloved Toomers Oaks have always been the center of our celebration. Due to poisoning, the trees had to be removed. New trees are expected to be planted in 2015.

Forget Google, we have Foy information desk. Foy Information Desk is located on the second floor of the student center. It is a 24/7 help desk that will answer all any question you have, no matter how silly it may be.
7. Family is everything.
Whether you are a student, graduate or just took one class at Auburn, you are considered a member of the Auburn family. The Auburn family is loyal, always there for each other in good and bad times. That is what distinguishes Auburn from other colleges.
